What is a fanweek?
A fanweek is a week meant to celebrate either a pairing or character. There will be a theme to each day which the creators will center their pieces around.
What does the "Shu" in Shuann stand for?
Shu is short for Shujinko, which is Japanese for protagonist.
Can I submit a piece that I've already posted for the week?
Sorry, but no. All of the submissions need to be new! You're free to submit the first installment of a piece for the week and then continue afterwards, though!
What kind of submissions do you accept?
All kinds! Fanfic, fanart, headcanon posts, collages, edits, we will gladly accept them!
Do you accept NSFW works?
Sure we do! However, we do have some ground rules! Firstly, it cannot be submitted on Tumblr. It must be submitted on Twitter and additionally, you must tag any warnings. And if it's an art submission, you must post it on Privatter and have a SFW preview on the post.
How do I submit?
First, on Tumblr, you can either @shuannweek or you can tag the piece #ShuannWeek2k24! If you're using the latter method, make sure it's one of the first 5 tags! 2023's Prompts

ღ Day 1 (4/10): Vows/PromisesVow: In Persona 5, when Joker forges a new bond, it is referred to as a vow. And Ann is one of the earliest Confidants Joker has and by default, he forms a Confidant with her. So you could explore any of her Confidant ranks! Or... are Shuann exchanging a different vow? Like marriage vows, for instance?Promise: Ann promises to Joker that she will become a proper lady, just for him, when Joker says his goodbyes to her in Vanilla. They also promise to come to Hawaii again someday, just the two of them. You could cover these two examples and much more.ღ Day 2 (4/12): Birthday/AnniversaryBirthday: Ann's birthday is November 12th, whereas Joker's birthday is up to your personal interpretation. What do Ann and Joker do to celebrate their birthdays?Anniversary: Joker and Ann are both sentimental people, so anniversaries are probably a big deal for them. What do you see them doing to celebrate their anniversary?ღ Day 3 (4/13): Embrace/WarmthEmbrace: The first time we see Shuann hugging is during their Rank 9. But that certainly isn't the last.Warmth: Tokyo has its chilly days. What are Shuann doing to keep each other warm?ღ Day 4 (4/14): Throwback DayThere were several amazing prompts in the past years, so this is essentially a free for all day, for people to create content using one of our older prompts!ღ Day 5 (4/15): Valentine's Day/White DayValentine's Day: Valentine's Day is THE romantic holiday in the West, so Valentine's Day is probably even more special to Ann! What are Shuann doing to celebrate Valentine's Day? Do they celebrate it more like in Japan, where Ann makes him chocolate? Or do they go bigger, like in the West?White Day: White Day is the day that men are expected to pay back the women who give them chocolate threefold. What are Shuann doing on White Day?ღ Day 6 (4/16): Masquerade/Behind The MaskMasquerade: We have official art of the Phantom Thieves in masquerade attire. You could do something more fairytale like where Shuann is meeting at a masquerade ball!Behind The Mask: Everyone has their masks. ღ Day 1 (4/11): In-Game/Post CanonIn-Game: There are many sweet moments between Joker and Ann in the story of Persona 5. Perhaps you could show one of these moments or perhaps a moment that wasn't so explicit in the game.Post Canon: While there's many great moments in the story of Persona 5, there's just so many possibilities after the game! You could show something that occured during P5 Strikers or perhaps something further down the line!ღ Day 2 (4/12): Love Letter/Secret AdmirerLove Letter: Love letters is a common way to confess one's love, especially with you're in high school. Is Joker a little shy to express his feelings to Ann? Perhaps a love letter will help with that...Secret Admirer:ღ Day 3 (4/13): First Date/ConfessionsFirst Date: Joker and Ann have several options for their first date! Like going to Inokashira Park, for instance. Or do they do something more lowkey, like staying in at Cafe Leblanc and enjoying a home cooked meal? Either way, they'll have a fantastic time!Confessions: Canonically, Joker and Ann's confession happens at the roof of Shujin Academy, with Joker reassuring Ann that she is not alone. You could explore what was going on in Joker's mind during their Rank 9. Or you could explore other moments, like how Joker was feeling during Christmas Eve. But it's shown several times how Ann pours her heart out to Joker. Maybe they're having a heart-to-heart about something weighing on them, such as the aftermath of Okumura's death, where Joker needs to confide in Ann.A Home Together: Moving in together is a big step in any relationship. You could show them creating a home together or even just discussing them moving in together.ღ Day 6 (4/16): Children/ParenthoodChildren: While we love Shuann fankids, it doesn't mean you have to show them having children! You can write a Childhood Friends AU or maybe even if Shuann babysitting someone!Parenthood: Joker and Ann would be great with kids, no matter what. ღ Day 1 (4/11): Proposal/MarriageProposal: At some point, Joker or Ann has to realize that they want to make the next step in their relationship. Just how do they pop the question to the other?Wedding: After the proposal comes the wedding! Do Joker and Ann opt for a western wedding? A Shinto wedding? The possibilities are endless!ღ Day 2 (4/12): Vacation/International/HoneymoonVacation: Joker and Ann both work extremely hard. But all work and no play makes a boring couple. Where do you think they go for a vacation? Somewhere else in Japan? Or somewhere abroad?International: Joker and Ann once promised that they would return to Hawaii together, just the two of them. Do they take another trip to Hawaii? Or do they have another destination in mind?Honeymoon: Where do Joker and Ann go for their honeymoon? No matter where they'll go, it'll be special, since they're married now and it's a trip meant for just the two of them!ღ Day 3 (4/13): Fairytale/FolkloreFairytale: There are plenty of fairy tales that can fit Joker and Ann! For example, there's Sleeping Beauty since there's a rose motif. Or Aladdin, featuring a rogue-ish protagonist. For example, there's the story of Orihime and Hikoboshi, the origin of Tanabata. There's also the folklore that soulmates are connected through the red string of fate. How is our favorite couple faring in supporting each other through difficulties?Comfort: As Phantom Thieves, they went through some rough trials, such as with Joker needing some comfort after his rough interrogation. While the going gets tough, at least they have each other.ღ Day 5 (4/15): Role SwapRole Swap: Is Ann the Wild Card and Joker the model dealing with sexual harassment? Or are they in another Persona game, playing the roles of different characters? The possibilities are endless on what role they play.ღ Day 6 (4/16): Soulmates/Fate & DestinySoulmates: A soulmate is a person ideal to be a certain someone's romantic partner. Just how are Joker and Ann soulmates? You could even create a soulmates AU for this prompt!Fate & Destiny: With the first meeting of Joker and Ann, it gives off the impression that their meeting is "meant to be". Fate led them to meet and become so important to each other. ღ Day 1: Night In/Night OutNight In: Our favorite couple is staying in for the night! What are they doing? Does Joker provide with a nice home-cooked meal? Or they bingeing movies? Or maybe are they up to something more intimate?Night Out: Joker and Ann are going out for the night! What’s the planned date activity? A nice dinner in a fancy restaurant? Are they going out dancing? You decide!Submissionsღ Day 2: Rain/SnowRain: In fiction, rain is a common romantic trope. Notably, it was raining during the Encounter. What are Joker and Ann doing in the rain? Hopefully they don’t stay out too long in the rain, they’ll get sick!Snow: Snow leads to a lot of winter fun! There’s building snowmen, having a snowball fight, and even skiing or snowboarding. What winter fun are Joker and Ann up to?Submissionsღ Day 3: Cherry Blossom/RoseCherry Blossom: In Japan, cherry blossoms have many meanings. One is the beginning of spring and by extension, life. It also means the beauty of nature and first love. Notably, Joker and Ann met when the cherry blossoms were in bloom.Rose: Roses, depending on the color, have several meanings. Red roses are the most famous, as they symbolize true love. In hanakotoba, pink roses means trust/happiness/confidence. White roses mean innocence or devotion. ღ Day 1: Meeting/Goodbye/ReunionMeeting: Meeting Ann in the game is rather significant. She is the first person to be kind to Joker. You could write about their first meeting, in either Joker or Ann’s perspective. Or maybe you have a different meeting in mind for them?Goodbye: Joker and Ann created many wonderful memories together throughout the story of Persona 5, but with Joker’s probation over, he has to move back to his hometown. They have to say their goodbyes… if only for a year.Reunion: Joker and Ann enter a long distance relationship after Persona 5 ends. But that means their reunion will be all that much sweeter when they get to see each other again. You could also write about them reuniting after Joker’s interrogation. Or maybe even when Joker’s released from prison in February.Submissionsღ Day 2: Touch/KissTouch: Intimacy comes hand in hand with a relationship. Or… perhaps, Ann is a bit touch averse due to what Kamoshida had done to her. Either way, Joker will be with her every step of the way.Kiss: Ann’s romance route is notably one of the few Persona romances where there is an on-screen kiss. Perhaps Joker and Ann are just indulging in some private time together, stealing kisses away from the eyes of their friends. After all, that time together is precious, with them being in a secret relationship.Submissionsღ Day 3: Coffee/SweetsSweets: We all know that Ann has a weakness for sweets. Perhaps Joker woos her by making her some homemade sweets? Or maybe they’re playing the pocky game.Coffee: One of the things that Persona 5 establishes is that Joker learns how to brew coffee from Sojiro. Ann also remarks that she finds the smell of coffee rather sophisticated. Maybe Ann is taste testing for Joker’s coffee, as he wants to really wow Sojiro before giving it to him.
